  I bought Chilla's art Bundle and playing randomly. Guys this game is worth every penny. got chilllssss down my spine... !!! Just a small game but overtakes some of the shit horror games i have played like ' Swine, lust from beyond- scarlet (its free so not that disappointed), better than Okaeri there own game. Great atmosphere, great jump scare, nice sound as well. So must play - must buy ...!!!

  This is the first Chilla's Art game that I've played and I'm very impressed. Cheap and at the right length to not get old, this is one of those rare horror games that is actually scary the entire way through. The tense atmosphere was built up the entire time, so much that I legit was thinking if I wanted to continue when I got closer to the end. I'm definitely more scared by the mundane rather than supernatural and bizarre. A UFO in a spaceship or a mummy in a pyramid just doesn't do it for me and I'd rather be able to relate to the situation. In this case, this did it well. We've all been on a relatively dark street in a seemingly safe neighborhood, walking and walking a seemingly endless path. We've all felt like we're the only soul in the close vicinity. Most of us have probably heard that weird creak, a crack of a branch. Maybe a rustling in the leaves or a random cough when we're alone and at our most vulnerable. To me, this type of horror will always work better than something that requires me to let go of any semblance of reality. That's why sadly games like Alien: Isolation never worked too well as horror games. Another great aspect is that it's short. You learn and you get closer, but you never fully get to know what you're after. It doesn't stagnate either. In fact it feels like the tension suddenly builds up at a very quick pace. Whether or not you like the culmination is another thing. But in general, I liked the balance of showing and telling vs. mystery and intrigue. Some aspects of the story conflicted with the gameplay itself and what you see, which definitely didn't help, though it never took my immersion away from what I was doing and where I was at. One of the coolest part of this game is its solution to visuals. Not everyone has the time, money, talent or other resources to just craft worlds like they are in Outlast 2 or Alien Isolation. Instead, this game elects to hide its flaws with a creative move, which is the grainy VHS feel that you can see in the screenshots. Suddenly you focus more on seeing past the grain and fuzziness, taking your focus from the textures and meshes. It's a shame Chilla's Art had to post a statement that their games get refunded due to their length. This is most certainly a game that has a lot of creativity and ideas packed into a compact experience. It doesn't waste your time. It doesn't pussyfoot around. It takes you into the ride and there's no rest until the whole thing's done. I'm excited to play some of their other games, since this is just an excellent offering.

  One of the earlier & simpler Chilla's Art games. That said, it's probably my 2nd favorite out of the 6 or so I've finished. It's elegant in its simplicity...the limited length of the game keeps it from dragging on. The pacing is much better than other games by Chilla as well. A drawback is that it only contains a few scares with such a short runtime. I cleared it twice with all achievements in 43 minutes so be aware of that if shopping full-price. It's a universal recommend if the game is on sale, and a moderate recommend at the full price (which is cheap anyway).

  Bought it on sale, Wishing i would have payed the full price. This game deserves more recognition and the fact that i just passed by it on the store almost 3 years after its release feels criminal. From Atmosphere, to sound, to the plot, everything was excellent. 10/10 for Ultimate Spookiness

  Its a pretty lame game to be honest. Its a walking simulator with an ugly visual filter and not much of a story. It's also insanely dark which makes it difficult to explore and find what you need to progress. Jumpscares are also just funny instead of scary and if you've play a lot of horror games I doubt you'll be creeped out by this. I would recommend Convenience Store, Missing Children, or Caregiver over this one.

  Standard Japanese Urban Legend. Dark, quiet streets and alley of Japanese town, where Sakaya, was invited to visit a friend's new home. Ambiance and sound effectss to create suspense to the mind to start playing tricks in your head. Little to few ' Scares '. Walking Simulator. Collecting 100 yen coins, pages of a diary, few spots of interest and items to pick up to unfold the story. Clunky cursor and camera alignment. No save system, simple decision to visit all the shrines or not and choice of Cat/Fish. game has to be played in at least two different Short sessions to unveil the different endings and achievements. Being too short may be the biggest complaint, could finish game in multiple sessions before the Steam Trading Cards are fully picked up. Decent, low price for the experience, but could be better. Recommend to get it only when in a bigger discount.

  Short but interesting enough, worth a look for the asking price. While simplistic in its mechanical design (interact with something that causes something else to be active a few times) the feel of the game is definitely there. You will find a few potential scares but nothing overly crazy given its more about the atmosphere than the jump scares. I am however curious why only half of the game is voice acted by the single VA. If you find the VHS effect a bit overpowering, when in game press escape and you will find a toggle for that. Also if you have issues starting up, just change the resolution in the launcher, start the game, exit and then change it back and play. Overall for the asking price, sure why not! I enjoyed the experience even if it is not a long game, even with 2 endings. I left the game on pause for a few mins while I got a drink and a bite to eat and still beat it in under 70 mins, I am fairly sure I could have shaved 10 mins off if I didn't take that break.

  I'm totally sensitive to these and get scared easily. It was so terrifying... Maybe I should wait for my senpai next time to play these horror games, I can't stand playing stuff like this alone!

  light trails made me want to gauge my eyeballs out, other than that its a great game.
