  My absolute favorite drawing program! The $40 USD pricetag is a little steep considering how few differences there are between this one and the free version (which are no ads, improved performance, automatic updates, and dark mode) That said, I definitely recommend it for anyone who does Digital Art! The only thing I wish it had was a proper animation timeline and ability to add audio tracks (RIP CSP, y'all shouldn't have done that)

  A very lovely art program that I've been using since 2016, beginner-friendly and has a nice simple interface. Sucks that the free version doesn't have dark mode like this one, but I'm fine with paying for the steam firealpaca ! I also dont need to mess around with logging into separate services to download brushes, which is a huge plus for me (sick and tired of remembering password smh smh) What bothers me however is that it doesn't seem to be very compatible with huion tablets. I use huion kamvas pro 16 display tablet, and it does not work very well with selection-related tools like lasso and transform mode, by that I mean it does not respond to pen input most of the time and I have to resort to using the mouse. This specific issue is somewhat avoidable if you're careful lol (side note: the same tablet works WAY WORSE in the free version, for instance whenever i switch windows then click back on firealpaca with my pen it stops responding to my strokes at all and forces me to restart the program)

  This is the best drawing software. And if you don't want dark mode or automatic updates, it's still free, forever, on the official website! FA64 or FASE, you're going to want to use this drawing software. I've been using the free version of FireAlpaca for quite a few years now, as it is the only drawing software that stabilises input from a mouse. Seriously. This stabilises brush strokes from a mouse. No other software is capable of that. After getting a drawing tablet, and some deterioration of my eyesight that makes it impossible to use light mode apps without getting migraines, I had switched to Clip Studio Paint. Following their announcement on their new subscription model, I've lost all faith in CSP going forward. Seriously, I'd paid for a one time licence and they already have a premium currency, but now my one time licence will no longer receive future updates. It's honestly abysmal and the artistic community will never forgive them for this. When I saw the announcement for FireAlpaca SE's new dark mode UI, I decided it was about time to buy it and to return to using FireAlpaca. I want to thank you for putting in so much time into the development of FireAlpaca. The recent improvements to onionskin mode and animation, the new brush assets and better brush customisation, and now the dark mode, truly makes this a brilliant drawing software. I must again state that it is the only drawing software friendly to artists that use a USB mouse to draw. This is the only drawing software that stabilises input from a mouse. You've done such a great job for the artistic community, and we all can't wait to see how the app improves more in the future. Personally, I think some cool features to work on would be to have an animation timeline viewer , or even an expansion of the new brush library to include other sorts of assets . No worries if you can't though, coding is hard. TLDR: Get FireAlpaca. You'll never need to use another art software again, except maybe Blender for 3D references.

  overall pretty good, but there aren't enough differences from the free version to make up for the $40 price tag.

  As someone who's used FireAlpaca for about 5-6 years (at the time of writing this), I can wholeheartedly say it is a versatile program that's worth your time; especially if you're a beginner to digital art like I was at the time of downloading it. But remember: FireAlpaca is a program you can download for free. Which is why I implore you to download the free version first to try it out and form your own opinion on it. If you like the program, and perhaps you'd like to show your appreciation for the developers keeping the program free (like the chads they are), I encourage you to support them by buying the SE version. The SE version is more-so a donation than an upgrade. After all, the only features exclusive to it are a darker UI and no advertisements upon startup; that's it.

  i like this alot better than the free one. have been using that one for years and its been killing my eyes with how white everything is so the dark mode is heavenly. they also dont have ads before you start drawing. they also have onion skin for animation so thats useful. i love all the features of it, its like adobe but better for my simple mind lol. the only issue i have with this is this weird glitch where at random it will have like a seizure and the whole screen will spin around while im in the middle of drawing so thats really annoying, hope they fix that ive seen other people with the same problem as well. other than that i really recommend this (if you wanna pay 40 dollars)

  I've been using the free FireAlpaca since I was a wee lad and I refuse to use anything else. I promoted this shit so hard in high school they made it an official art program in the school district. Between making little graphics or full paintings, this program has all the tools you need, great brushes from the free brush store, a bucket tool with an expand, filters, a fun gradient tool, shape tools, fun effects. There's so much you can do in here with a little digging around and messing with the different stuff in this program, I feel like I find something new all the time. I've used this to make twitch emotes, overlays, banners, minor photo editing, posters, paintings, and texture work for 3D models. Seriously, try out the free version at least, this program is a dream.

  I've used FireAlpaca for many years. It's my go-to art program for the type of art style I do. FireAlpaca is pretty much plug-and-play with almost no learning curve if you come from more sophisticated programs like paint tool Sai, or Paint.Net. And although it doesn't have that many options, it can give you very similar results. It was nice to find this nicer version here on Steam with a much needed Dark theme.

  i like the app itself, but it doesn't really change much to buy the full version. Unless you find the pop-ups completely unbearable, I'd stick with the free version on the site.
