  I've got 400+ hours in ark. I've played all DLCs and I will post this review on each one. This will comprise a small amount about each one and my personal rating. Scorched Earth: Scorched earth was the first DLC in ark. It introduces a vast desert themed map and brought in a lot of cool new creatures and items/ structures. It's by far the most challenging dlc and very easy to melt hours and hours into. It's nearly a brand new game on its own. Overall 9/10. Aberration: The second dlc introduced to ark. This is my personal favorite. A very unique map that includes a lot of new game mechanics. Reworks a lot of the OG creatures (aberrant variants) as well as introducing some very cool new animals. There are also lots of new items in this expansion. It is almost like a harry potter feeling world IMO. Personally 10/10 but content wise 7-8/10. Extinction: This is the newest dlc. I'll update this in the future but here are my first impressions. The map is neat and much brighter than the others. Although it feels similar to the normal map and biomes. There are some nice new mechanics and creatures. The corrupted version of creatures is introduced but there are mostly just normal OG ones. Some of the added items are cool. I'll update this review later, but the dlc feels a little rushed. Overall so far 6/10. Please share your thoughts. Comments are enabled ;)

  I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

  Should have released promised bug fixes and optimization before a paid DLC. The game is in early access but yet the developer feels the need to release the paid DLC. There are many issues with the game in its current state and the player base should not have to shell out more money for an unfinished product.

  I want to be clear that my thumbs down is a conditional sort of thing. Here is why: Wildcard was sued by Trendy games and lost. 40 million dollars later, Survival of the fittest stops being freet to play. Now, an expansion comes out that is 20 dollars. I'm not above paying for new content when it's justified. This, how ever, could have been handled with more grace. If Drake had come out and told us the honest truth, this all would have more good will to it. So Drake, I know you won't see this, but this is how I wish you had done it. A community letter saying to the players- "Hey guys, we took a big hit with the 40 million dollar loss. We're really sorry that happened. We're releasing some new content that will be 20 dollars to help fund the rest of the game." *IF* Jat had done that, this would ALL be better. We'd have all said "Screw Trendy" and paid up with smiles out of spite for the lawsuit. Be honest with your player base and they'll respect you. -Buy this game AFTER ARK is released from EA and this goes on sale. (My actual feelings.)

  First thought: Holy shit, this looks amazing. I NEED THIS! After playing and exploring for about an hour in SP: Jesus fucking christ, what a huge disappointment. You seriously charge money for this? It's a tiny mod-pack consisting of ONE set of clothes and a few new items, a small map and a handful of new dinos. Outrageous fucking rip-off. If I could refund this, I'd do it in a heartbeat. YOU'LL BE BETTER OFF USING THE WORKSHOP! DON'T BUY THIS!
