  Simple to use, you're able to pretty much make exactly what you what. Would definitely reccommend if you're interested in making your own VN. Or if you want to make absolute trash like I did. Edit: Okay so I did more playing around, and need to give this review a fair shake. First of all, I would definitely recommend it. The drag and drop nature of the app is very simple and easy to use. I made my first "trash" game without consulting the tutorial and found it to be very self explanatory. That being said, the tutorial is very well written and explains how to work TyranoBuilder. Custom Scripts /are/ doable, so that's no worry either. I don't remember if it's mentioned early, or on the store page, but there is definitely custom script support. You can add your "own"(or what you found on google) art and music and pretty much everything. I got this on sale, but even for full price ( I mean really, $15?) it's definitely a steal for such a simple to use and learn app, that can compile the game for PC, Mac, HTML5, IOS, and Android.

  Tyranobuilder, Is, basically, like the big brother of Novelty; a freeware Visual Novel engine that does the same, but in a somewhat more complex way. What TyranoBuilder makes stand out is the thing they promote so much. The GUI is super easy to use and very, very straight forward. The only thing that TyranoBuilder does NOT do for you is to come up with a good story and personal artwork. Which is a pretty important aspect when it comes down to this. So, would I recommend it? I give it a yes, because I do have some experience in designing VN's through other applications and TyranoBuilder is by far the "fastest" to get a presentable result. Ofcourse, the quality of your production all comes down to your own creative / writing skills and you won't puff out a quality product in just 10 hours. But, besides of that it's a very good product; just the tool to get started; especially if you're not good at coding.

  The drag & drop system is way more easier to use than the complicated syntax and text placement in Ren'Py. You can directly and easily customize the title screen layout and look, as well as the settings menu, the size of the buttons, message windows, texts, ... There's no template to create a Gallery though, but it can be done easily with a bit of time by using image buttons for thumbnails and placing everything in a separate scene. Talking about gallery, the softare doesn't come with images nor music (just a sky background for the title screen, an alternate message window and some buttons) so you'll have to mount your own library (well, it's a given of course, but having placeholders could have been useful). The use of coloured tags makes things pretty clear and legible but I'm not sure how helpful it will be for very long scenes (on my laptop, it begins to lag at around 300 items but it would require a very long scene to need that much, I think). But the ability to preview the work at any point is great. Note : You might want to write the dialogues in wordpad or something because the text window in Tyrano Builder is quite small. Lastly to place flags and whatnot, you'll have to use Javascript. Edit 1.7 : Finally a backlog. Also, the new features are good, but be careful when using some of them (like the UI customization) with your existing projects because it could mess up your layout. The positioning tool has never been better, too, and thus, all my past grievances disappeared with this new patch.

  Bought this with high expectations and wasn't disappointed. First impression: + Loaded fast + Drag and Drop = Easy to use + Tutorial included for people with issues - No real samples / selection of images or soundfiles. For 12.74 Euro or even 14.99 normally, it's a great price in my opinion. If you ever wanted to create your own VN, this is the program to go for. It's a simple drag and drop program. Of course you'll have to put a lot of effort into the story and graphic since the program can't offer you that, but else you won't get into trouble with this. Good luck and have fun creating your own Visual Novel. Hope you'll share them and release masterpieces!

  Great piece of software that will become a powerhouse within a few updates, I just know it. Dev feedback has been great and very prompt. Make sure you read the website and the steam forum, too. Pros: -Keeps things organized. Can see everything laid out in order inside the editor, and can break chunks of it into separate scenes when it starts getting too long for you to manage. -Price. Only $15, and it launched with a discount. No royalties, no fees. And Dev support has been great. I truly hope this software succeeds and the Dev can roll out updates to expand and support it. Please do your research people, there is little to no assets included, which is exactly how an efficient engine should be. The Dev has provided plenty of discussion on finding free assets. Dev has also stated that multiple tutorials are inbound in the coming week to two weeks, which should be a big help for seeing what its capable of.

  I was frankly surprised at how straight forward and easy to use this is. Pretty much everything i've seen in a typical VN seems like it's (easily) doable in the program. One thing you should note, (and the makers should perhaps mention on the product page) is the lack of pre-loaded assets. In my case I prefer to provide my own, but some people may want that sort of thing. Apart from that little detail (which may not apply to everyone) this is a pretty good program for a fair price.

  So this is my first review and let me tell you it is well worth the time to write said review. saw it last night and said "That looks like fun, i should buy that no questions asked" I was not disapointed. Very easy UI as well as an excellent tutorial. I had barely finished the tutorial before i had a million ideas on what to do next. I havn't had this much fun with a game creator since i first discovered the original Star Craft campaign editer. The only problem that I see with it is that it is lacking in pre loaded assets. As a storry teller I can tell the most amazing stories, but my horible stick figure artistic abilities limit my casting options greatly. I wanted to go rather elaborate once I cleared the basic part of the tutorial but i didnt have any sprites or backgrounds to use besides the one Yuko sprite and the three backgrounds provided in the tutorial. I spent a few hours looking for sprites and backgrounds (never did find any sprites but did find a few working backgrounds) before decideing to make a longer story with just the one Yuko in tow. Music is not an issue since the tutorial does dirrect you to a nice site for the BGMs. I would like at some point in the future to release some basic sprite packs or something along that line as dlc. Ive played around 15 hours so far (with quite a few family distractions) and I am very happy with my end result for my first project. Would I recomend this to anyone with half a creative bone? Absolutly 9/10

  Purchased TyranoBuilder. 8 Hours later Im playing my demo on my Android Phone and shared the links to my friends on Facebook. Im officially hooked. 10/10 would buy again.

  Review date: 03-30-2015. First of all, I want to say that it's a very nice software. It is very simple if you know nothing about programming language. It looks very nice and well organized. The tutorial they have on their website is well-explained. But... it's unfinished, there are quite a few -important- issues to work on. -Fullscreen mode is not available. (Which is a big deal.) -Can't use custom fonts. - [strike]Can't resize characters[/strike] and the text boxes. Tends to make things bigger or smaller than what you want. -And the most important, doesn't work with Steamworks (overlay). When they fix the "Official suggestion list", I might try it again. As of now it seems more like the Official suggestion list is more of a list of items that, quite honestly, should have been in before release date. If I see a lot of changes I will consider changing my review but as of right now the ´´ease of access´´ this programs gives is completely washed out by how basic and rudimentary it is. I cannot recommended it as it is. Seems unfinished to me. EDIT: I'm aware of the latest update. I can only add that TyranoBuilder is still fun for people who just want to fool around creating visual novels, not for something serious or commercial.
