  Over 25 Years of Gaming. 25 Years playing Hundrets of Games on Homecompuers and Consoles. I´ve seen so many Genres, so many different Games. And just when i think i have seen them all, when i think nothing can suprise me, then comes a little and fine Game and changes my Mind. Welcome to DIORAMA BUILDER. DIORAMA is a simple Puzzle Game. But in a new Dimension i´ve never seen before and i played many puzzles on screen and in Real Life. And yes i know what Diorama are, because i saw many in my life, but to be honest, i never knewed that Diorama is the Name for it, i just called it Model. But to the Game. You´re starting in a cosy Room with an empty Table in the Middle. There is a cupboard with 6 Boxes inside, and in each Box you can find a nice Diorama with a different Theme. World War 2, Crime Issue, and Christmas for example. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2612442192 After choosing one Diorama, you can start puzzling. You have 3 Options how to puzzle. Option one, you can see everything, that makes it really easy to set your Pieces. Option two, you can see the actual part which you are puzzling, not everything. Option three you can see nothing, do all by yourself. You can change these options anytime. Sometimes it was really helpfull for me, escpecially when setting small parts. Each Set is sorted in different Parts of the Diorama. That prevents frustration in searching every little piece. To find the right place on the Diorama, you Mouse Cursor is helping you. Each time the Cursor touches a position where a piece is missing,it shows you in transparant Form, which one is needed here. Thats a really fine Solution, preventing tomake it too easy. So piece by piece, Level by Level your Diorama is beginning to take form. And when you are finally ready, you can play a little with it.There are some nice animations, find them and get rewarded with achievements. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2612441325 The Graphics are really nice done and it has a wonderfull Soundtrack. Each Track fits perfectly into the Themes of your Dioramas. DIORAMA BUILDER is a rare Diamond in the Ocean of Games. I can`t believe it is still early Access, it feels so completed. I have had so much fun with it, it was so enjoyable, A very big thanks to the Developer for this wonderfull Game. Games are always a matter of taste and if somebody would ask me which my 100 favourit Games in the last 25 Years were, this one would be in my Top 10.   I live with one cat and one little dog. So I'm hesitant to buy LEGO cuz perhaps they could eat the LEGO piece. But this game is so satisfying to me and I have no more desire to buy LEGO. I feel like playing LEGO as well as my babies can be close to me at the same time. What a nice. Thanks to my steam friend 'Wyvern' who informed me of this game.

  20 Feb 2022: Wow! What a cute game! I finished the Crime Scene and Western Scene since this review. I really, really, really hope they make more this year! Adding some more scenes to the shelves (which look sad being empty, hint hint) Once you start, you can't stop. When you finish a diorama, it is interactive! Want more! Want more! How about one with a plane, one with a ship? Submarine? Ocean floor? Salon? Pet shop? So many different themes can be added. I'd love to keep playing this! Fun little game. I've only done the Christmas Scene so far but I really enjoyed playing this. I even paid full price.. Haha. That rarely happens.   i love this! it's only got 6 models to work on at the time i'm typing this (i enjoyed 4/6 cuz the WWII and crime scene themed ones kinda harshed the vibe for me, personally..), but the method of gameplay is very satisfying n relaxing! it's like a combo of lego kits with voxel style. i only wish there were more models, or maybe even a design-your-own/sandbox mode of some sort, which idk if those are already in development. i see lots of potential for it, either way. :]

  So the question everyone always asks on any game: Is it worth the price? Well, I use a simple 3 check marks method. 1: First, I compare how much game time I get out of it compared to my base hourly pay. So for me, did I get more than one hour of enjoyment from it? Yes. First mark passed. 2: Did I enjoy the time i played it? Yes. Second mark passed. 3: Was it more bugs than game, no matter how fun it may be? No. That is all 3 checked off. This game has a lot of potential. Right now it is very much early days, so the dioramas are limited to 6 models, but what is on offer takes at least 3 hours to get through so unless you are making top income levels, chances are you will get more than your money's worth just from the currently included offerings. Next-bugs-what bugs? As a very nice change of pace, I encounter no bugs at all through my play through-on an early access game. that is almost unheard of. No crashes, no glitches, no randomly being stuck somewhere or items disappearing-nothing. the music is also specific to each diorama which is a nice touch. Nothing fancy as far as graphic tricks or the like go to try and confuse gamers with fancy graphics instead of actual quality, just subtle touches that improve the overall experience. The only very minor issue I have is the controls themselves can be a bit clunky. they work find mind you, no issues with the playability from controls, just takes some patience and getting used to them is all. this game is Not designed to be anything other than what it appears. its designed to relax to, and a good gift for anyone who enjoys relaxing games such as jigsaw puzzles. there is no time, no need to rush your way through, no blood or gore of any kind. it brings back the feeling of being a kid with a Lego model. the enjoyment many of us felt doing that as kids will enjoy this as well, and it is suitable for most ages - the very young may need help as the controls are clunky or to help them spot where something needs to go, but everyone else should be just fine.Again, no timer or a deadline to meet, so you can go at your own pace. Once a diorama is finished, you can also interact with it, which is neat but nothing to write home about-the fun is in the building, not the watching but you do still get a nice feeling of achievement and i don't mean just a steam achievement either. if you want a solidly built relaxation game with no stress or worries that will last you at least a few hours and especially if you enjoy jigsaw puzzles, then this is for you. I also strongly suspect DLCs will be in the offing for future dioramas to add to the fun, but even if those never happen i still got far more enjoyment out of it than it cost me. All in all, well done developers. While I may not be a fan of the controls, the lack of any bugs for a full playthrough while in early access is very, very impressive.

  A relaxing puzzle game in which the player must recreate the scene indicated by the developers on the Dioramas boxes. Pros: <*>+ Achievements <*>+ Meditative process <*>+ No penalties for mistakes <*>+ Price <*>+ Interactive objects on the stage Minuses: <*>- It is not always clear which part is installed where. Total: Pretty nice game in which you need to assemble models following the instructions. After recreating the scene, you can interact with some of the models. The game is simple, and partly related to puzzles. Recommended for children and adults who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle.

  Its conflicting on if I would or would not recommend this game. What is in the game is pretty much complete. They have six dioramas in the game, three of them in it when it first released and three that were added over the the time it had been in early access. Each diorama is pretty much a point and click experience. You get a set of pieces and each piece has its spot on the diorama. Its that simple. However, the game hasn't been updated in little bit more then a year. This isn't the first game to be released under the early access tagline and then just get abandoned. The developer seems to like to release games cheap, put them under early access, MAYBE update them a little, and then just move on to the next one with absolutely no communication what so ever. Looking into the forums for this game is sad, you can see people who genuinely enjoy this game and the game itself shows promise as a fun little game to kill time with. All the developers would need to do is finish their project, to officially 'release' the game, or even add in Mod Workshop support and the game would be much better and I'd be comfortable recommending it. As it stands? I can't recommend this when there are so many better games out there for the same price point that aren't completely abandon.

  Good for some chill time. Feels like the times that I used to do puzzles with my families. You are trying to complete these puzzle like dioramas with chill music at the background. Takes about 3 hours even If you don't rush it. Hope they add new levels later on. Would recommend!

  A really enjoyable diorama building experience to enjoy after a long day where you just want to shut down your brain and just watch something but you still wanna do something with your hands at the same time. It is surprisingly cheap too, tho sadly it seems to be abandoned in early access (but whats there already is good). On Linux it works fine with Proton (6.3-6) in windowed mode (fullscreen was unplayable) but that might have been fixed with newer versions of Proton.
