It's fine, but just remaster the 3 modern games for PC.

You start fighting the main boss right at the beginning of the game and you fight him the whole game. The main boss is the camera which is garbage your view is constantly awkward and off. The last time I was beaten this bad by a camera I was drunk in a back alley in New Orleans refusing to give up my wallet and Nikon.

i don't get why the bad reviews ! the game is really lots of fun and even funny too. the game is an action/beat them up (Devil may Cry..etc) but with a sense of humor, the jokes might not be for everyone but they made laugh. the gameplay is really fun though the upgrades could be better, it isn't as deep as Ninja Gaiden or Devil may Cry in terms of combat but it is a lot of fun. the game ran perfectly fine at max settings at 60+ fps from start to finish. P.S. the main menu's music is a killer, i can't stop listening to it

I struggled to write this review as i don't like writing negative reviews, especially about a series i like... As much as i loved playing Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 3 Razor's edge, Devil May Cry 3, 4, and Metal Gear Rising, I can't say the same about this game. I was hoping this would be as good, but...the game play is just clunky, the story (or lack there of) just treats you like an idiot. Tomonobu Itagaki would not have made this game this way....and Why aren't Ninja Gaiden 1 2 and 3 available on Steam? I'll go back to playing Metal Gear Rising instead of this game.

Conclusion: Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is not so bad as most of the reviewers scored it. It´s a very violent game, with cool characters and a short story of retribution with 2 members of a ninja clan. Also the next characters works good in this piece of violence. The sound is good with nice voices of all actors/enemy and the score is techno based, all around a good Ninja (Cel Shading) Gaiden in my eyes Grafik: 7/10 Sound 7/10 Story 7/10 + Cool badass characters, nice cutszenes+anime style, very bloody, a lot of moves/skills, short but good entertaining story - Unfavorable camera angle, hard to master for beginners, sometimes laggy in fights with hoards of zombies

I had read reviews before even considering buying Yaiba so I should know better right? But with "Ninja Gaiden" in its title I still hoped for some decent amount of quality. You could have fooled me. Repetitive gameplay, repetitive combos, embarrasing "jokes" and really frustrating stupid camera. This is not worthy 30€ not at all, no way sir. But the cel-shaded stylization makes Yaiba eye-candy.

First off don't go into this expecting a Ninja Gaiden game. From what I've played it's combat reminds me of the Dynasty Warriors/Musou genre. While graphically it's colorful and nice. The gameplay won't appeal to those looking for depth in their combat systems. If you just want a simple hack n' slash game where you slaughter hordes of zombies you may like this game. The platforming segments aren't all that hard but were really unneeded.

I want to clear up a few misconceptions about this game. It's an absolutely brilliant title, and in a just world it would not have a "mixed" review. 1. There is nothing wrong with the camera angles, it's a fixed camera game like many of the greats... perhaps in an age when we are used to full 3D camera control for everything, it can be a bit off-putting.... but it works very well for what the developers are trying to do here. Some of the combat requires Quick Time puzzle type events or platforming, and the predetermined camera angles are a necessity to make it work. They even give you options of a wide and a tight angle if you're not happy with one in particular. The camera angles also play A Part and their quest to make the game seem like a living comic book, they wanted to control each frame, and as your character moves around inside each area it very much feels like a comic book in living, Vivid motion. Personally because they are less common in most AAA releases I find segments of games with fixed camera angles to be Charming, like some of the ones that were thrown into Nier Automata... they give a nice change of pace. 2. There is nothing wrong with the control scheme, I would bet good money that anyone who has complained about the controls attempted to play this game with a keyboard and mouse... this is a third person Japanese console port, it was not meant to be played with a keyboard and mouse. Dust off your Xbox 360 controller and let the good times roll. 3. The humor is just fine, if you find it beneath your level of maturity go watch Masterpiece Theater. 4. The length of the game, is indeed shorter than I would like it. In my experience this is the nature of any good game, no matter how long it is, it always ends too soon... Often beating a good campaign is bittersweet at best. In Yaiba, There's a fluid and frenetic arcade type Sensibility, to it's combat. You dive into the action quickly with little or no delay... I can easily Envision replaying this title. Perhaps I would have been bothered had I spent $60 to acquire this game early in its release, but that is no longer the case. Bide your time and pick it up for $6 on its frequent steam sales... it would be money better spent than flushing it down the toilet on one of the pointless Ubisoft or Bethesda season passes that they tack on to their releases. I wanted to talk about all these things, because I had delayed buying the game due to negative reviews listing these problems, as with most subjective things you have no way of evaluating the person who is rendering the opinion you using to judge a purchase. I wanted to try to explain in detail to give Anyone who reads this review a little more context then what is found in most of them. This is a fantastic game, if you love ninjas, comic books, Pulpy Revenge fiction, alluring hackers, sophomoric humor and frenzied action, this game will be right up your alley. Hell... It even has Zombies if you are into that. The combat is like a guitar, easy to pick up but difficult to master. The game isn't a button Masher.. But you won't find it confusing either. Enjoy.

Uninstalled at chapter 4 due to the amount of game breaking bugs. Got tired of resetting the game over and over just to progress a little bit and run into another game breaking bug.

Fun at first, but soon enough game become repetitive and frustrating. Imbalanced enemies and copy-paste bosses except the last one. My most unpleasant game experience in many years.
