  As good and if not better then I remember. They dont make RTS games like the original sudden strike series anymore and that a damn shame. If you are an old Sudden Strike fan then get it. If you have never played it before but are a fan of WW2 strategic RTS games then get it.

  First of all! THANK YOU STEAM! THANK YOU KALYPSO! I want to thank everyone whos responsible releasing these amazing games! There are so many things id like to say about the sudden strike series but ill stick to the basics. this is a real strategy game unlike the modern ones. you can control every single unit individually every unit has a purpose select all your units and even if you have 10 times more attack the enemy and you will lose every unit has a line of sight reckon is key to these games. for example: AT doesnt fire 100 shots to kill a tank, one shot done,ofcourse it doesnt mean that it wont damage infantry unlike a field gun will damage lots of infantry but it will damage tanks as well but without sight the dynamics of the battle can change.that goes for every unit in the game. Now these games are old,the graphics are 2d (besides ss3) so gamers who are all about graphics and not depth they wont appreciate these games.sudden strike is not fast paced,it takes time,you need to plan ,its not an easy game. If you are trully into real strategy get this game and you will see how modern strategy games should be like. Totally recommend it

  i am deeply nostalgic about this game. here's why: way back when i was a little turnip, my dad would regularly take me out of the house to go to places i like so my mom could catch a break from the stresses of raising a child. on one cold winter day in 2001, when i was about 7 or so, i went to walmart with some allowance money in my pocket and i bought myself a value pack largely consisting of world war 2 games on a whim. the main star of the show was sudden strike with an mission expansion pack to complement it. when i first installed it on the family windows 98 machine, it took me a good while for me to wrap my head around sudden strike's mechanics. when i finally did, i fell in love with it. sudden strike is single handedly responsible for turning me into an RTS guru nerd who knows about games that all of 5 people in the US care about. i'll admit that some of sudden strike 1's gameplay design decisions are a bit janky, but a few elements have stood the test of time. namely, the way the units react to damage and how you have to handle logistics is done incredibly well. for being my very first RTS game, i could have done a lot worse.

  The most legendary rts game of all times. Just buy it. You will never regret it. I've been waiting almost 10 years for this game to be re-released and the dream came true. This game perfectly simulates the battlefield which is a slaughterhouse of countless souls where infantry is worthless, armor is like eggshell and death is almost certain. and to steam: what about hidden stroke series?

  One of the best classic games about WW2. Played it a ton when it came out in 2001. At the time I thought the graphics were amazing and the gameplay was brutal - assaults are fast and furious with little room for error.   Superb game. Wakes memories from 2000. I was addicted then and now I can play the whole bundle again.
