  I gained greater insight into my storage drive's actual performance watching Task Manager as I used steam's move game feature to move Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord to another drive to make room for this Benchmark's 30 GB available space requirement than the Benchmark itself provided. This benchmark just takes a hodgebodge 7 simulated loadings of a game, a utility or copying a game from an external drive. My drive sat idle for most of the time during the benchmark. I've always held 3D Mark in high regard, but after testing this pathetically horrible product it is making me question their other products. Use CrystalDiskMark if you want an actual Storage Benchmark, Try UNIGINE if you are questioning 3D Mark's other Benchmarks.

  Well, be aware that the test will TAKE AGE to complete (around 10-15 mins). Also no visuals, just texts with hypothetical gaming situations. And because it's a DLC, there is no playtime in Steam. My result with my PCIe 4.0 WD_BLACK SN850 (7000MB/S) : https://www.3dmark.com/strg/2772 Quite weird to be honest but remember this is a GAMING benchmark, not a benchmark to measure your SSD/HDD speed.

  This genuinely does not offer great insight into storage performance. I must say I am surprised with 3DMark on this one. Very difficult to take the output and compare. In addition, outside of some text and minor graphics it does not do a great job of showing what the test is even doing.

  Realy realy BAD Benchmark !!! 15 minutes and only completed first loop ??? No Thank you. Just stay with only benchmark for GPU and CPU.

  Because this benchmark showed me an incredibly low bandwidth compared to my SSD specs https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/68710738?# (is about 500 when it should be around 3000) i spent almost an hour trying to figure out what i could have messed up when installing it. then on a gut feeling I ran a different benchmark application which showed me numbers far closer to expected.. turns out my error was trusting the 3DMark benchmark. (note: the actual benchmark number is not what was relevant here, it was the noted SSD bandwidth leading me to needless concern and to waste my time)

  I don't really understand the hate this is getting. Yes Task Manager can give some performance metrics but the way this breaks down the most likely things you will be doing with your gaming machine into different metrics is super interesting. Does take its time but the negative reviews fail to mention that it loops three times and the speed at which it finishes those loops is directly impacted by your drives performance. If you're interested in seeing how your drive goes under sustained stress or just to test your drives against each other its definitely worth the price.   Not accurate. Shows really low value for NVMe drives that are setup in RAID 0 on motherboard (AMD RAID). Read and write speed of my drive setup is +12GB/s read and write. This is not optimized for all drive setups even if you extremely fast Gen 4 NVMe drives.

  R O F L O L. This has to be one of the biggest jokes of a so called "benchmark" that I've ever seen. To the person who reviewed this DLC and said that "people were discovering their SSD's weren't as fast as they hoped, and are taking it out on UL" Is frankly uninformed. I've been a PC tech for 30 years and worked with almost every make and model of Cpu, Gpu, hard drive, SSD and video card that are popular on the market. This test in NO WAY is accurate. a Samsung 970 Evo does not top out at 330 Mb/s, that's below even SATA SSD Speeds, Let alone a 1tb M.2 Nvme gen 3 SSD that easily rips along at 2900mb/s, The slowest i have observed this drive operate was 2gb/s. It gets worse though as this joke of a benchmark told me one of my MECHANICAL Bulk 8tb drives was faster than BOTH of my m.2 drives. This benchmark is Garbage. DO NOT waste your time or money on it. I did it to see if all the Negative reviews were right, and they WITHOUT A DOUBT are.
