  Delisting 3 DLC (which as of a result makes getting 100% of the achievements for the collection impossible now) in favor of a $40 dollar product with Denuvo is anti-consumerism.

  Good collection for everything that's still available, but unfortunately Sega removed the classic Sonic trilogy from it for the release of Sonic Origins. I'm just glad I managed to get this collection before that happened.

  SEGA removed the majority of Sonic titles from this collection in an effort to sell more copies of the newly released "Sonic Origins". If you have already purchased Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, as well as the Knuckles content, you will still be able to access these games however for anyone interested in Sonic (or the entire "Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Classics Bundle"), you will not be able to buy/play the previously listed titles as part of this collection. This is very sad for a number of reasons. Sonic Origins, the replacement collection for these titles, despite the name does not contain the original games. Even the "Classic mode" advertised as part of the game is just a cropped view of the newly re-made, (and extremely buggy), 16:9 "definitive" versions meaning that ultimately, as of June 23rd, 2022, there is currently no way to play the original Sonic 1, 2 and 3 on Steam. Despite owning and enjoying this game/collection for some time, I cannot recommend it in it's current state, nor can I recommend buying the new collection that supposedly replaced this one. It's a shame as the emulation for these titles was perfect, a true 1:1 experience when compared to playing them on the original Mega Drive.

  Removed Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD Most likely because of Sonic Origins; And those are games I'm sure a lot of people care about, but they want the original games and they don't want to spend $59.95 on Sonic Origins just to play 1 remade game that's not a classic and if you bring back Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD I will take this review down if I can.

  Delisting the Sonic games of this collection to force people who have yet to buy these superior original versions (over Origins) is anti consumerist and an abysmal business practise. Furthermore, adding further insult to potential buyers, if you are to buy this game and all available content for it ... the Sonic achievements are still there, thus, you will NEVER be able to 100% the game. Never.

  The collection itself is pretty good with a sizeable amount and variety of games, even lesser known ones like Eternal Champions which I grew to love, has loads of customization options, as well as the ability to add mods from the workshop. However, I cannot give it a positive review due to SEGA recently removing Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3 & Knuckles from this ahead of the Sonic Origins release to force costumers to buy it. So only those who bought this collection before May 2022 will have those 3 games. Greed and anti-consumers practices cannot be tolerated.
