  I'm not really good at writing reviews, but I'll try to sum up my thoughts on this game. Ace Combat 7 has been an absolute blast to play through. I'm currently about 3 quarters of the way into my run on Hard Difficulty, and despite that I'm still having an absolute blast. The game is fairly challenging, but not overbearing. I've crashed more than a few times, and despite that, I keep coming back no matter how pissed off I get at myself. The multiplayer has also been a good time, and dogfighting my buddies has been even better. The planes and environment are quite well detailed, and I've never had a moment where I would consider the game ugly. The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and it really helps to get me motivated, in game, or IRL. I think if you like these sorts of flight arcade games, you'll love Ace Combat 7. It's been an absolute blast, and I am thrilled to see what comes next.

  Whenever i'm playing multiplayer my missiles do absolutely nothing but the enemies missiles are blessed by the lord himself. 4/10 Campaign was good

  Ace Combat 7 is a spectacular game, carried both by the visuals and the setting of Strangereal. While arcade-heavy, gameplay is involving, with tense, gripping missions influenced by your loadout and are structured in a way to help the player get his bearings at a pace. Apart from phenomenal quality of cinematics and the story, the game opens a door to a wider world, showcased in inner monologues and snippets of backstories. The world lore is rich and the supporting characters outside of our squadron each have their own stories. It is refreshing to see the conflict is not about cartoonishly evil empire vs alternative reality american good guys, kind of which we see in Killzone for example, but a rich, complex world influenced by collective histories of the nations that make it up. The soundtrack deserves a special mention - a work of art on its own and perfectly fitting for the noble aerial combat. It sets the mood and reinforces the vision of the world our squadron wages war in, providing a truly immersive experience. It's easy to get lost in the moment, just like in the clouds. The way conflict is waged, morals and values of combatants and leaders present a precious noble bright setting. Princess Cossette's sorrow, Mihaly's own longing for the skies and the resolve of his graddaughters provide more meaningful input for the setting and theme than most of the missions and quite honestly despite high flying ambitions, the game fails to reach its ceiling, hampered by one-dimensional writing of supporting characters and sub-par voice acting with the exception for some key characters leaves a few scratches on the otherwise pristine canopy. I know your squadron mate thing is that he's a gambler, but repetitive remarks about betting every 15 seconds make you wish he was dead and quite soon you feel a pang of shame about not feeling guilty he finally was. Beauty of the game and the dignified grace it presents make it all worthwhile, however, and with the wider world to look at, flying somehow falls by the wayside. And that is all well, the war is over now and the skies beyond Earth are now within our reach.
