  Sure! I mean, on its own, it's an FPS exploration game, in the mould of other games where you explore a limited area, find tech that lets you explore more area, to find tech that lets you explore more area, and so on. You know the name of the genre, and typing it in gives me the hives. The game is visually lush and the combat hasn't been hard either. The majority of the damage I've taken in-game came from flubbing jumps trying to go off the beaten path. Since there's a lot of hidden gewgaws, going off the beaten path is kind of the point. The real difference here is the guy who did the writing for Borderlands 2 has done the writing for this game. It's clear he's got a style, a style I described as "Ha ha dystopia" to my wife. Terrible things happen (off-camera, as part of the universe) and they're presented for yukks. There's a lot of social satire action going on with in-ship commercials. Things that buff your character you are casually informed give you "benign cancer", haha, because the corporation views the human assets as having less value than the mechanical ones. Ha ha, the crew are fungible assets. Here's a commercial for a food product that morphogenically adapts itself to taste like any one of 21 billion different possible delicious foods. It also kills you slowly. Ha ha! It's a dystopian world, and that's the guy's style. You are sometimes encouraged to do horrible things to the friendly fauna "for science". Like drop-kicking them through whirling blades. I guess you don't have to, but those science experiments won't conduct themselves. Ha. Now, I'm also playing it in French, and it's all in Quebecois French, which makes my day like you wouldn't believe. "icitte", "déniaise," etc. Oh yeah, and coop! We started playing, my wife and I, got to bumbling about a bit, and then got distracted by other things and didn't go back so I'm playing it alone. But that's not a reflection on the game, more than it's a reflection on our senses of whimsy. So yeah, get it. Especially if you thought the writing in Borderlands 2 was ace.

  If you have a friend or a partner to play this game with, immediately buy it now on its 60% sale This game is really amazing its absolutely wonderful and a lot of amazing fun to have with someone its a comedic adventure in an alien planet filled with some cute aliens and some monsturous looking ones, the game is playable with 2 people, cant go more, I assume solo this game is gonna still hold its own cuz of the exploration and all the content in it but it wont have the same zing to it. the one thing I disliked about the game is knowing I wont get 100% achievements due to one of them needing you to beat the game (on a sorta ng+ thing) on singleplayer, I dont like achievements that needs you to do something in singleplayer or coop, imo it should all work for both sides, so it made me not want to grind the other achievements and get stuck at a 99%, we did however go for all the collectables and content within the game itself and in total that was a good 13 hours of content. its not a really long game obviously hence why I said get it on sale, for $12 you will get some 10-15 hours of content with a friend and I swear the game is just absolutely fantastic. i never bothered with the DLC cuz only heard bad things about it so i ignored it.

  Intro: ” Welcome, explorer!! As the doomed person in our company, we will make you explore this strange planet and give us its latest discoveries.. sooooooooo good luck!!” Gameplay: The game is about exploring a planet far from our solar system, diverse with its creatures and geography. You will find flat, elevated and flying areas as well, and you will always find secret places such as caves and others on every corner of the world. In terms of the world design, it is designed more vertically than horizontally so that each new area is located on a layer above you, and you find yourself jumping, climbing, or even sliding to reach new places and areas. These areas are distinguished by their monsters which are considered rather unique but some of them are repetitive with minor differences (ex.. one is armored and the other explodes). You may encounter some armored monsters that you can only eliminate by using some materials, and these materials can be obtained through the plants around you that may also help you solve some puzzles. Can you gather some resources for crafting?? Unfortunately, no....there is no crafting mode in this game, but there are some resources that you use only to upgrade your abilities. In terms of abilities, the abilities in the game are very simple and useful. All the abilities you get at the beginning of the game help you to reach your goal of climbing, fighting, or solving puzzle. Most of these abilities will unlock with you as you explore the world and finish the main story. You may encounter some "hard-to-reach" places or strange puzzles, but after you unlock a certain ability, you can go back to it and solve it. And FYI, most of the abilities you cannot read about them until you reach the advanced stages of the game (that is why I was somewhat lost when I found a puzzle in front of me and did not understand how to solve it). Also, you -as an explorer- will have a scanner to scan the whole world, and this thing is very interesting and encourages exploration. Unfortunately, with all these advantages, the game is very short. Short in terms of the worlds you discover and the fun you receive in the game. And even in the number of main bosses you are fighting. I finished the game, and I didn't understand that I finished it. As if the developers ended it here due to lack of time. It was very sad. I consider this to be one of the big disadvantages in the game. The other drawback is that there is nothing to do after you finish the game. Except collect some abilities and examine the world around you more. I didn't find anything really important in it or even side missions.... This is very sad... The Story: The story in the game is simple and direct that you are trying to discover the world to know if it suitable for humans and trying to fix your own spaceship and through your discoveries you may talk to a scientist and he will guide you to your goal and he may throw some jokes, either directly or through advertisements that may appear in your broken spaceship. Graphic and Music's: As for the music, it is somewhat acceptable, but it was not important, so I started reducing it so that I could talk to my friends. The game does not require much concentration. As for the graphics, they were very impressive. I enjoyed the scenery and the variety of colors in my first moment in the game. The graphics are close to 3D cartoon graphics and this design is very suitable for the game, especially since the game has a strange joke side. Extra Note: - The game does not have a minimap. - The game has a co-op mode. You can play with your companion and listen with him during your trip. Conclusion: This is one of the games that I enjoyed playing and exploring, but unfortunately it was not perfect. It was too short. If you want to buy it, don't buy it at full price.   There's a few games I've watched & waited for sales over the years that I regret not playing sooner. Journey To The Savage Planet is one of those games. It's quirky, it's funny and it's relaxing. This is a shining example of what games should be - fun. Feels like a smaller No Man's Sky crossed with Borderlands. There's some movement mechanics as well that are a big plus. Highly recommended.

  A vibrant, funny, open world platformer with light puzzle elements. Collect ores and minerals to upgrade your equipment, find a bunch of collectables, kill bosses and explore the planet! A really fun game set in a colourful world. Those that enjoy exploration will love it, it's tons of fun, although pretty short. My only issue was coop mode. When it works it plays well, but the servers are broken. Disconnections happen over and over again. This has been a known issue for at least a year and has never been fixed which is a shame. Absolutely recommend this lovely game for solo play, but not for coop as the disconnections ruin the experience.

  Space Holidays

  I needed that Savage Planet is very chilled and relaxed adventure. Common enemies - tiny creatures (mostly chirping birds), aren't a threat to you, they mind own business and attack only if you slap them hard. Which you will, right? Bigger enemies, those guarding story areas and rare bosses, are very static and slow in attacks. Each greats you with new animals, equipment and hazards. Overcome these and earn a new upgrade! Then, previously locked doors open sharp with electro punch, grappling hook takes your between locations and acid sack melts obstacles. Don't get over-confident. If you're one jump-charge short - goodbye orange goo. Out of bombs - can't crack them protective shields on a space frog.   If you're fiending for a Metroid Prime-like game on Steam, there's no better option. A little rough around the edges, but compared to some of the other tripe on here it's absolutely the better choice.
