  It has the same problems as its predecessor: 1. Once you self publish games the game essentially is a repetitive mess of the ever same routine you don't care about. But you kind of have to because your income explodes. Also the information is never where you need it so you have to move several menus back and forth. 2. There is not much internal consistency: Examples: - Your consoles sell even with no games. (and print absurd amounts of money) - Handheld and Stationary consoles sell the same numbers even though the market is of different size. It is very easy to corner 100% the handheld market, since the natural sales of your consoles is ~2M but that just gives you ~5% of the stationary console market. - Exclusive games do not significantly change the sales of the console (now it gives you a number but it is 2permille of sales even if its best IP, best rated game, trendsetter award...) - You can get the trendsetter award for a game that does not sell. - A Game that hits all trends, has 100% rating, 200 overhype and perfect IP can flop while one of the average games you release will be your sales hit (or: the monetary success of games seems entirely uncorrelated from all acessible variables)

  An upgrade to the first iteration in virtually every way, with active development and promising features incoming in future updates. Even the things I found annoying (dealing with employee needs) have a toggle so they can be turned off. I like the ability to customize the contents of several versions of self-published games (standard, deluxe, collector's editions) and the ability to port games to other platforms. The map game has improve significantly. In the first game, to get more space you'd just buy a new building and then essentially re-build and buy everything you had before after a loading screen. Now, you start on a campus and unlock each new building one by one, no moving, no loading screens, just more space on your campus. A huge improvement. If you liked the first game, this one is now at a point that I can recommend it as a worthwhile upgrade. If you've never played the first and are interested in this type of game, this is the ideal version.

  The thing with early access games is that you run out of content fast so you don't play them for that long

  The initial stages of the game are great, but the late game falls flat (as can be expected with Early Access games) At first, it's a lot of fun trying to build up your gaming company and trying to keep out of the red. Do you grab that highly skilled worker with the high salary or limit yourself now? Do you NEED the extra space by spending millions on that new building or can you play Tetris in the building you have now and squeeze in another worker or two? The random events also make things interesting early on; a hit to the Hype of your game can make or break it without a Marketing department and if the market suffers a video game crash, you might have to slow down your company expansion until things settle again. But then... you earn enough to buy out a competitor and own your own subsidiary that produces games for you. You release game after game with your top-notch development team. Manufacture GOTY and Platinum editions of your most popular IPs. Sell fan merchandise. MMOs that will keep earning you money as long as you keep adding expansions. Dominate the console wars.... soon enough you have $4 billion and nothing to really spend it on. The gameplay is addictive and I want to keep playing, but there's not much to do in the endgame. There doesn't seem to be any risk in buying a subsidiary or shutting it down, you can't add a second story to your buildings or move to a bigger campus, and your researchers will eventually research everything. As it is, once you cross a certain threshold, it feels like you've enabled Sandbox mode. Maybe adding a few "soft" victory conditions might encourage players to start a new game (with the option of continuing) rather than continuing to snowball. Perhaps a Scenario mode, too, would encourage replayability. There also needs to be a few tweaks, I think, to Research Teams. Once they've researched everything there is to research, they just kind of sit there until the next feature becomes available to research. You never feel like you can get "ahead" of your competitors because everything releases by date for research. I think it would be interesting if the Researchers could "Experiment" in their downtime and have a small chance to unlock a future tech early. I'd imagine it would work similarly to the Marketing team's Employee Search. Fund the research team more, get a higher chance that they'll find something earlier than your competitors, if you're willing to pay the cost. There should also be some generic placeholders for "Future Tech" like there is in Civilization so you can continue to improve your games and consoles. Overall, a good game that has a lot of potential to be great.

  A fun game with a decent amount of depth. There are plenty of ways to make your own game company, and the devs are consistently updating the game and listening to player feedback. It's still early access so naturally there are some bugs, balance issues, and missing content, but overall I still greatly enjoy the game

  I love the Tycoon Genre and i guess it is safe to say i played the most important or influencial titels in this Genre. There was a big drought in the Genre with a lot of Games that try to cling to the Glory of past itterations and falling horribly short .... looking at you Airline Tycoon 2 and Pizza Syndicate 3..... But this one is special. It is realy close to becoming one of the Big Tycoon Games that will become a synonym for the Genre. With each Update the Game becomes better and at least for me that is my personal Labor of Love! I Bought it in Eary Access at the Beginning and watching this game grow was and still is one of the most positiv Early Access Expirences on Steam and one of the most enjoyable Experiences in 25 Years of Gaming. This game deserves every sold copy. Heck it is one of the few games i will gift to friends knowing they will have a blast of a time. I hope you guys keep improving and working on the game (i know it will have to come to an end eventually and you already spent a decent chunk of time on this one) because this could become one of those rare titels that i will come back to after 10 years , 15 years and 20 years.
