  A fun top down RPG with an interesting story. And S E X. most of which are just defeat cgs. There is censorship; however, there is a patch available on the Kagura Games website for free.

  Mediocre real-time action RPG with generic setting, plotting, and H-scenes. 11 hours to complete, and all of that is repetitive circle-strafing combat - although more focused playthrough ignoring side-quests could shave a fair few hours off that and you'd lose nothing. Uncensor patch available for free from the publisher's website, although it does require e-mail registration and login to get it.

  The gameplay's tolerable, but repetitive and somewhat pointless

  Entire game is circle-strafing bland monsters spamming left click to kill them. There's different weapons with different ranges, swing-speeds, etc to use, split between range and melee; there's some buff-spells; there's a levelling-up system to each of the many different types of weapon; there's a rogue-lite replay mode to each dungeon to grind out weapon levels, loot drops, etc. None of it is particularly worthwhile: The combat works surprisingly well given how bare-bones the concept and implementation is, but it's not varied or interest. The levelling up system for the weapons offers grind and progression, but is quite disposable. The selection of weapons is generally redundant - there's a massive selection, but you only need to level through a couple of "good ones" to make your way through the game, so it's really more of a time-waste grind.

  RPGMaker sucks as an engine for this sort of game

  All real-time implementations of RPGMaker tend to be rubbish, and this one highlights the key flaws in the engine. There's frequent stutters, frame-drops and freezes, and pauses throughout the game - often messing the already substandard hit-detection. This gets progressively worse as the game progresses to the point where the game actually breaks if you use some spells (the HP regen spell in particular instantly triggers enough stutter to make the combat unplayable). The game's options page includes a toggle for a 30FPS frame limit which it implies will help this. Toggling the frame limit to "on" did not fix the issue - and I couldn't be bothered to turn on a framerate monitor and wander around an area that wasn't stuttering to confirm whether or not it was actually working. Who knows, maybe forcing a limit with external software (NVidia control panel; RTSS; whatever) could address it - really the game doesn't merit that level of effort. Fortunately the game is so facile that these aren't essential to complete it; and you can just suck up and out-heal the occasions where a frame-drop causes you to take a needless hit.

  The H-scenes are disappointing

  The artstyle's fine - you can tell from the store page if it's your bag. The content topic is typical, but tolerably realised with some acceptable animation. There's an x-ray cutaway to scenes, which is nice although is used very unimaginatively and repetitively throughout. But the game falls into the standard lazy, asinine, inept trap of "throw fights to see H-scenes", which in games like this automatically signal to any player "hey, no narrative significance to be have here, it's just some random uninspired generic JRPG fet-content!". It's a shame, as the writing is at least trying to elevate the eroticism of the content: But having the character constantly talk about how likely it is for her to get pregnant - again and again - when it *can never actually happen* just serves to underscore how narratively insignificant and disposable and pointless and bolted-on the erotic plotting actually is. Again, this is typical for dull JRPG themed eroge in general; and low-effort Kagura shovelware in specific. It's all very "seen it before a million times" with nothing apart from a tolerable level of presentation to recommend it. Roll call of titles that have near-identical scenes? Sure: Makina; Tina; Ideology in Friction; Dark Elf; Paladin Lias; Ambrosia; Meltys; etc, etc. When it comes to turgid boiled over unimaginative shovelware, this genre's overflowing and this title adds pretty much nothing worthwhile to salvage it.

  Game's not worth getting

  It's way too time consuming; the gameplay would be substandard for the genre in any other setting except eroge; the H-content feels bolted-on and superficial. I skipped most of the erotic content simply by just winning the game - with the game conveniently expecting you to view all the lose-scenes via a gallery-unlock room in town. A useful feature given how the game implements the H-scenes, but also one that serves to underscore just how redundant those scenes are to the game. As per usual: If you've got more money on your hands than you know what to do with, can't imagine playing a more worthwhile game that represents a better use of your fleeting life, and just want a meh diverting trifle to keep you occupied and maybe a little turned on by fantasy non-con fet content - then sure, you might get a kick out of this, it's not like it's the worst example of the medium. But otherwise, just skip it.

The main protagonist, Quem, is equipped with two types of weapons — she wields both a melee and ranged weapon, the latter capable of activating buttons from afar. New weapons can be purchased from the town, or looted from dungeon exporation (among other items). The idea it to venture deeper and deeper into a dungeon, until reaching the final boss. Until then, it's matter of aquiring better and better gear, through repeated exploration, quests and "bounties". [h1]Story[/h1] Quem is an adventurer, and her eyes are on the greatest prize of them all — Heaven's Ladder is the one dungeon with still-unexplored secrets. Quem encounters a strange being, whom taunts her. He casts a spell onto her, which leaves her in a weakened, lustful state. She falls prey to his minions — hundreds of sentient, gelatonous masses [i]gangbang her against her will.[/i] Now I [b]like[/b] where this is going! After a long night (of [i]you know what[/i]), Quem narrowly escapes Heaven's Ladder and is met by Vise. Vise is an "information broker" from the nearvy city of Sucesor. She explains that Quem has been cursed — she and everything around her will [i]want to do lewd things.[/i] To break the curse, she must defeat the monster who cursed her, whom resides in the deepest reaches of Heaven's Ladder. Vise offers to join Quem's journey, in the interest of researching the dungeon's interior. They retire to Sucesor, where they learn about the local guide and gear-up. And so begins Quem and Vise's quest to lift the curse, and turn stones left unturned. [h1]Visuals[/h1] [b]Ho![/b] By the divines, the titlemenu! It's [i]so[/i] feckin' bomb! From "Options", you can adjust audio preferences or cap the framerate. The in-game visuals are dope — the pixel art is spot-on, and it's satisfying to break barrels n' baddies. The main protagonists have animated portraits, which [i]really[/i] livin up their dialogue. I would have liked the option to play "dress up" with them, but what can ya do? [b]- The Goods -[/b] The CGs are animated, and [i]awesome. . . [/i]though not without a few flaws. For starters CGs lack backgrounds, so they must viewed beside in-game graphics and accompaning text. Not all enemies have sex scenes, which was a [b]big[/b] let down. I'm dissapointed in the developers. I want to see Quem attacked by sexually starved hornets, [b]dammit![/b] Expect female nudity, male-on-female, and [i]beastial[/i] sexual intercourse. [h1]Verdict[/h1] I'd. . . wait for a light sale.   Really good if you're into dungeon crawling and exploring randomly created maps, one of the rare RPGMaker games without a turn-based gameplay so it's already a lot more fun than the others. I kinda wish there was a harder mode for the bosses though, but it was fine overall. The ending was satisfying enough after you get the true ending, but unfortunately there's no scene with Vise :( The H-scenes are really nice too, lots of variety and monsters to fuck around too and there's also the normal human sex. I really liked the BJ part on the hypnosis guy, man that was really hot. Took me 4 hours to finish the main story so it doesn't take too long too, and the H-scenes unlocks automatically when finishing the story so you don't need to grind all that much.

  8/10. Solid game with a nice art style, didn't encounter any bugs as I played through it. I wouldn't call it a $20 game, but $10 for certain. Controls are simple and responsive, interface is good, although having 1/3 of the screen occupied by the image of your character gets old really quick. There's a bit of a gear-grind, but not too much, and it feels like the game goes out of its way to throw money at you. If you want to go beyond the storyline and fully conquer all the sections of the dungeon, you might need to grind to stay stocked on potions, but that will depend on play style. Most of the wide assortment of weapons are the same half-dozen weapons with small variations on power/speed, so just find a few you like and ignore the rest. My biggest complaints are 1) no wardrobe variations, considering how constantly your character occupies the right half of the screen, 2) No armor or accessories and most weapons behaving identically makes for boring equipment managing, 3) Enemy behaviour is simple and lacks variety, and 4) the world and story set up has room for a lot more development and expansion, and they simply never bothered. For those using the adult patch, the defeat scenes automatically unlock as you clear the chapters, no need to suicide as you go. H-scenes are generic, the vast majority being the typical monster/female ending in mindbreak that seems so common these days.

  I recommend this game not only is it funny it has a great and heartwarming story. The H content is also very excellent. I like the rouge like gameplay and the challenge you can get ascending the floors. Vise and Quem make a great duo
